Taxi drivers still getting racially abused


I've just spent today amazed by how intolerant people are in this day and age.

I'm a taxi driver from Cumbria I was sat in my car earlier this afternoon with a friend of mine talking to me through my window he's a Indian bloke and a fellow driver he's literally one of the nicest guys you could ever wish to meet.

 He's a devoted christian (Yes christian some people don't realise India is a dominantly christian country) he's a well respected member of the community,He's also on the local parish church board he's well respected in the taxi community here and a top bloke and close friend of mine.

But back to him being at my window a group of roofers walked past and you could hear the usual racist slurs for no reason P**i C**t etc pointing and laughing like children abusing him for no reason I could hear them but made sure I didn't point it out to him.
I think it's totally disgusting in this day and age that we get these ridiculous small minded Bidget's targeting people for no reason.

As for at the weekends he gets so much horrible racist abuse hurled at him it's unreal I can't believe how he puts up with it, he smiles and says ''ok thank you'' imagine being in a van with 6-8 drunks all hurling racist slurs at you it makes me mad to think about it.

He told me about it and I went nuts, I said stop kick them out and refuse to take them, but he's so kind and well meaning that he suffers quietly he's only twice stood up for himself that I know of. He said inside I'm shouting and angry but I can't say anything this is really unfair and annoying this kind of this has to stop.

Now for me that sounds like bully boy tactics yes you might think it's funny or just a laugh but spare a thought next time you see someone doing it around you actually use your brain to see what that person is doing or feeling like for that matter it's enough to make my blood boil if I'm honest.
